The Masters in Corporate Strategy will give you leading edge knowledge to help you gain a deep understanding on how organisations need to react timeously to rapidly changing business environments, digital disruption and fast changing business models.
The MPhil Corporate Strategy is a specialised, academically rigorous degree that will enable you to transform from a traditional business manager into a specialist in the complexities of designing, implementing and adapting corporate strategy. You will be able to conduct advanced research into corporate strategy, leading to you being an expert in your area of research.
You will be enraptured by the latest research on interesting topics such as strategic foresight and strategic leadership. At the same time, you will have developed insights that will make you a more effective leader at a senior and executive level. This is a research-intensive course focusing on corporate strategy and may articulate to a PhD.

Completed Honours degree/ SAQA accredited NQF 8 qualification
At least 10 years work experience
Matriculation certificate level competence in mathematics
Competence in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and a web browser
Good English language skills verbally and in written format
SAQA certificate for all qualifications completed outside SA (international)
Should you not hold a degree or a SAQA accredited NQF 7 qualification, you will be required to complete the GMAT test. Fees and Quotations
Total tuition: R157 464 (For 2 years.)
Application fee: R3 000 (Non-refundable, will be payable upon application).
Registration fee: R17 000 (Non-refundable, will be payable upon acceptance to the MPhil programme. Offset against the cost of tuition in your first year.)
Global module fee: US$ 4620 - US$ 7230 (Not compulsory).
International students: R5 000 (Excluding SADC countries)
Global Module is an additional module is offered in your second year, which comprises of an international trip to understand the key teachings of international business. You will be given a number of countries to choose from and the cost will depend on the chosen destination. The details of this module will be provided in year 2 and is invoiced in year 2 based on the exchange rate. This is not compulsory and is in conjunction with the MBA programme.
GIBS does not charge VAT on tuition fees and all prices are subject to change.

- Step 3: Application is processed and documents verified (3-4 weeks).
- Step 4: Submit references and book for the GIBS Entrance Test (You will receive an invitation to the test once your documents have been verified).
- Step 5: Complete the Entrance Test at GIBS OR submit GMAT results (if non-degreed)
- Step 6: Await for test results from the assessor (2 weeks )
- Step 7: Applicant profile is reviewed and feedback will be sent to the applicant.
All accepted students are required to pay the registration fee within 3 weeks of acceptance to secure your place on the programme

There are set test dates for the year that cannot be changed upon individual requests. Should you not be able to attend any of the given dates, you will have to make arrangements to write the assessment directly with the assessor at an additional cost. Please click here for assessors details.
