Evaluate potential acquisitions and their impact on company expansion strategies.

Growth through mergers and acquisitions is a key strategy for many South African and global corporates.

Incorrectly valuing a company, developing inaccurate excel models to support the analysis, and not understanding the impact of the acquisition on related companies, are just some of the challenges you could face if you are not equipped with robust financial modelling skills and tools.

During this programme, delegates will learn how to unpack a potential acquisition deal and discover how to determine the subsequent value creation or destruction.

The practical, 2-day workshop involves delegates using and building Excel models on their laptops to enhance their knowledge and experience in analysing acquisitions.

Who should attend?

  • CEOs, company directors, audit committee members, financial managers, business development managers, financial analysts, corporate financiers, investment analysts, asset managers and entrepreneurs; and
  • Individuals from banks and finance houses with M & A experience.
Delegates must have advanced Excel skills as well as some theoretical knowledge of acquisitions or practical experience in conducting deals. Applications are subject to approval.

  • Value a target company including any synergies;
