Commemorating 22 Years of South Africa's Constitution and the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Please join the Global Compact Network South Africa at a Conference on Human Rights, Business and Young People, taking place on 3rd December 2018 at the Gordon Institute of Business Science.
2018 marks the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and 22 years of South Africa's democratic Constitution. The conference will reflect and take stock of how far South Africa has come since 1996 and envision a South Africa where human rights are protected, respected and fulfilled.

The one-day Conference will bring together business, young leaders and constitutional experts to take stock of South Africa's Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It will be guided by the following key questions:
- What does the Constitution and Bill of Rights mean and how far have we come as a country?
- What do we envision the future to be, especially for young people, and how can business and young people engage more effectively towards the fulfillment of their Constitutional Rights?

During this event, the Global Compact Network SA will launch a national Project on Private Sector Performance and Reporting on Sustainable Development Goals. GCNSA is the Private Sector Institutional Partner to the Department of Planning Monitoring & Evaluation (in the Presidency), coordinating South Africa’s Voluntary National Review (VNR) to United Nations high-level Political Forum in New York in July 2019.
