Global Entrepreneurship Month: The GIBS Entrepreneurship Development Academy has an exciting line-up of events

The GIBS Entrepreneurship Development Academy (EDA) has exciting plans for the final quarter of the year with Global Entrepreneurship Week in November, which is an international festival of entrepreneurship that aims to connect entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policymakers, and ecosystem players. Register in advance for an event by using the appropriate link below.

Side Hustles: How to get one started and why you should!
You've wanted to start a side hustle but you're not sure how to, or you've started the journey, but you need some practical inspiration from other hustlers. Register to attend a free online panel on Side Hustles on Wednesday, 10 November 2021. Entrepreneurs operating in various industries will provide individual inputs about their side hustle, how they juggle this with their 9-5 job and how you can do the same. They will offer practical insights to inspire you to hustle harder. The event will end with a moderated Q&A panel discussion. Register now.

Festival of Ideas
Do you have what it takes to pitch to a panel of experts and an audience? Send your 2-minute pitch of a business idea that addresses a social or environmental problem to stand a chance to win a cash prize of up to R35 000 and to attend a GIBS masterclass to finetune your pitching skills. Email your video submission of your pitch to academy@gibs.co.za or WhatsApp it to 063 611 8494. Applications close on Wednesday, 10 November 2021. The 8th annual Festival of Ideas Competition takes place in partnership with the SAB Foundation. More here.

Facilitating Funding Panel
You need to find funding for your small business but you're not sure how or where to go? Tune in for a free online Facilitating Funding panel on Wednesday, 10 November 2021. Representatives from ProfitShare Partners; Edgegrowth; FinFind; Business Partners; ESquared and Africa Trust Group will provide individual inputs about their offering and offer practical insights to entrepreneurs. The event will end with a moderated Q&A panel discussion. Register now.

Corteva Agriscience Roundtable
Food systems around the world face the triple challenge of ensuring food security and nutrition for a growing population, supporting, and providing livelihoods for the millions of people working in the food supply chain, and doing so in an environmentally sustainable way. Making progress is indeed challenging, as initiatives in one domain can have inadvertent repercussions in another. To address these challenges and to pave the way for a better future, Corteva Agriscience and the GIBS EDA are hosting a thought-provoking discussion that will allow for audience input during a moderated Q&A at the end of the session. Register now.

Digify Africa's Boost with Facebook Workshop
With Digify Africa, the EDA is offering free demand-driven digital skills training workshops to offer practical guidance to equip small business owners with the knowledge and important digital marketing skills to catapult their business into true online success for the new digital economy.
