BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE ENTREPRENEURIAL VILLAGE
The Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2015 opening ceremony, will take place at GIBS on 16 November 2015.
The main event will focus on “Building a Sustainable Entrepreneurial Village”, followed by the “Festival of Ideas Competition” scheduled to take place on the 17th of November 2015, also at GIBS.
Delegates attending will include the Minister of Small Business Development Hon Lindiwe Zulu, various state departments, corporate executives, non-governmental organisations and approximately 350 young and established entrepreneurs.
The programme content, developed in conjunction with the GIBS Enterprise Development Academy and the Centre for Leadership and Dialogue will include among other highlights, 1 hour long free mentorship sessions with industry experts, interactive dialogue sessions, branding and design tools for entrepreneurs as well as innovative entrepreneurial insights.
Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is a cross-border platform to connect and enhance collaboration, helping millions of people unleash their ideas and turn them into promising new ventures, solving global challenges and strengthening economic stability around the world. During one week every November, over 25 000 events, activities and competitions in 157 countries connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors as well as investors. Here, millions of people who had never considered launching their own ventures soak up advice and inspiration from great entrepreneurs and investors.
