Sandile July, Director, Werksmans Attorneys
Sandile has been a director of Werksmans Attorneys since 2006 and is currently a member of the firm's Labour & Employment Practice. A labour law specialist, Sandile frequently acts as an arbitrator at bargaining councils and represents employers and employees at various tribunals. In addition to his experience in labour-related litigation and dispute resolution, he advises clients on the implementation of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act and Skills Development Act.
Sandile also has experience in the restructuring of state assets. He has a BProc LLB and a Higher Diploma in Tax Law from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Pretoria.
Jenni Lawrence, Managing Director, Verification Services at Grant Thornton
After gaining a background in marketing and HR in the financial services industry in the UK, Jenni joined the company as an analyst in 2008. Appointed as director of operations in 2009, she managed the verification technical staff nationally across 4 offices, to ensure delivery of BEE verification services to clients. Jenni has recently been appointed as managing director.
Co-author of BEE guide – BEE Known, Jenni has a keen interest in the media and has been interviewed on radio and written thought leadership pieces for Business Day and other local publications.
Jenni was nominated as one of the Top 40 under 40 by the Nelson Mandela Bay Chamber of Commerce in 2011 and was a finalist in the Business Women’s Association Regional Business Achiever’s Awards in the same year.

Pat has over 20 years’ experience in Strategic Human Resources Management, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Succession Planning, Performance Management and Evaluation, Training and Development for management and staff, as well as Learnership Programmes, Compensation and Benefits by benchmarking against industry standards.
She has carried out initiatives such as Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment, Change Management, Culture and Diversity, Employment Equity, Organisational Design, Job Evaluation, Designing and implementation of Human Resources Policies, Procedures and Benefits, Employee Relations and participation in Wellness Programmes and Counselling, Climate Surveys, as well as Industrial Relations and negotiations with Unions.
She is a specialist in informal coaching and mentoring as Human Resources professional and a Trained Coach, as well as an Assessor and Moderator. Her experience includes developing and motivating people and departments for multinationals and various industry verticals like medical, retail and wholesale, telecommunications, financial service and motor industry, as well as government departments.
