Nhlamulo Dlomu, Executive Director: HR and Advisory Partner, KPMG South Africa

Nhlamu, a Partner in KPMG is the Executive Director, responsible for leading Human Resources. She is a member of the KPMG Policy Board and the Executive Committee. In addition to her management roles, Nhlamu also leads the People and Change Skills Group in Management Consulting.

Nhlamu has over 17 years' experience in management consulting, organisational development and human resources gained across various industry sectors. As a former HR Executive for Organisational Development for one of the largest banks in South Africa, her experience includes leadership of teams delivery work in the following areas: culture change, organisational design, change management, workforce analytics.

Karin Kruger, Associate Director - Data and Analytics, KPMG South Africa

Karin is an Associate Director in the KPMG Data & Analytics function which include all aspects of Data Management, Enterprise Information Management and Big Data projects as well as a wide range of analytical projects ranging from reporting to predictive modelling.

Prior to KPMG, Karin pursued a banking career with FNB and she was responsible for customer analytics with her main focus being decision analytics where her activities included: customer segmentation, potential analysis, analytical marketing campaign construction, pre-emptive credit vetting, post campaign analytics, channel optimisation and next best product modelling.

She has also been involved in developing and maintaining various decision analytics systems and has delivered attrition models, retention models, propensity models and outcome based remuneration models. 

Dr Matete Lerutla, Executive HR, Metropolitan, a subsidiary of MMI holdings

​Matete is the Executive HR for Metropolitan, a subsidiary of MMI holdings. In her role she is responsible for the delivery of end-to-end people solutions. As a key member of the Executive team, she is accountable to define, lead and influence the people strategy of the organisation and to ensure that HR strategies and solutions are aligned with business strategies.

In her function, she proactively identifies and manages people risks that could impact the delivery of the business objectives. The function covers HR operations (Resource planning and recruitment), Talent management, Compensation and Benefits, Organisational effectiveness as well as Learning and Development. As a result of the current business structure across the MMI group, the payroll function reports outside the HR function, although there is a tight partnership and connection between the two functions. Operating within the broader group, she plays a key role in influencing the overall people agenda within MMI, and to align HR practices in the Metropolitan business to that of the group. 

As a lifelong learner, Matete is currently studying towards her Doctorate in Business leadership (DBL) (Unisa). She holds a PHD in Psychology (University of Pretoria); MSc (Clinical Psychology) (Medunsa), Hons (Applied Psychology) (Wits University); BA Social Sciences (University of Natal-Westville Campus), Management Development Programme (MDP) (University of Stellenbosch), Strategic Human Resource Management, (Ashridge University -London) and a Senior Primary Teachers Diploma.                             

She is a member of the Health Professional Counsel of South Africa (HPCSA) and registered in the category of Master HR Professional with the SABPP.

Ngao Motsei, GIBS Faculty

Dr. Ngao Motsei is a member of Faculty and Lecturer in the Leadership Cluster, at the University of Pretoria's Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS). She is also Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Leadership Emporium (Pty) Ltd. Prior to founding Leadership Emporium, Ngao served in various executive and senior management positions in both the public and private sector in South Africa. These include, but are not limited to, Group Executive & Executive Director: Strategic Human Resources and Transformation for MMI Holdings; Head of Change Management at the South African Reserve Bank; Director and Associate at several South African Strategy and Organisational Development consulting companies. Ngao has designed and implemented long-term organisational development, change and leadership interventions for the public and private sector, both locally and internationally. Her international career highlights include being part of the organisational restructuring of Deloitte & Touche in Toronto, Canada; assisting in a business unit re-engineering for Phillips in Budapest, Hungary, and being part of a Team Development and Effectiveness intervention at the University Hospital in Singapore. This international experience was part of her Organisational Development training through the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland's International Organisations & Systems Development Programme.

Ngao is also a thought leader on Workplace Bullying in South Africa.

She served on the board of MMI Group Ltd and various other subsidiary companies within the MMI Holdings group. She also served as Non-Executive Director on a couple of Small Medium Enterprises in the IT and Strategy sectors.

Ngao received her PhD (Organisational Behaviour) from the University of Pretoria. Her research focussed on Organisational Antecedents of Workplace Bullying, with specific reference to the South African workplace. She has a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Cornell University, and a B Soc. Sc. (Hons) degree in Social Planning and Administration from the University of Cape Town. Ngao also has a Business Strategy for HR Leaders Certificate from INSEAD.​​
