EFFIE South Africa is expanding the effectiveness focus in marketing led by C-Suite power couples through facilitating industry debate via an engaging platform of moderated dialogues.
The dialogues aims to share impactful insights on themes related to marketing and performance and seek to provide industry-leading and honest debate around ‘why effectiveness is important to all industry leaders.’
True marketing effectiveness necessitates cross-functional collaboration, and the dialogues leading up to the 2022 Effie Summit will be a facilitated series centered on Power Couples drawn from some of South Africa’s most influential brands. They will investigate how the boardroom collaborations of these dynamic duos can unlock incredible brand and business growth. The power couples dialogues will be a moderated Q&A style panel with a CMO/CFO and CMO/CTO pairing. Khensani Nobanda: Group Exec Marketing & Corporate Affairs, Nedbank. Michael Davis: CFO, Nedbank.
Khensani and Michael will provide insights on taking the next steps together, walking in each other’s shoes. They will provide an overview on determining what resources are truly needed for growth while focusing on gaining a deeper understanding of key aspects within each division. The couple will unpack the definition of success from their respective points of view and how to align on KPIs, and how they can refocus the broader conversation on value measurement by developing achievable, effective KPIs and CPIs to the benefit of the entire organisation.
The dialogue will explore the building of frameworks to improve, scale, and celebrate wins, tracking KPIs and budgets to jointly optimise shared goals. The session will also allow for insights into power relationships at the C-level. How is it managed, how do the individuals manage it, and how do accountability and influence play a role?
