About the speaker:
Nyimpini Mabunda is the CEO of GE Southern Africa. He has 20+ years of background leading major consumer goods, food franchises, and telecoms businesses across Africa and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining GE he spent six years as chief executive/managing director at country/divisional level for two major listed multinational businesses, Vodacom and Diageo. His expertise in strategy, marketing, sales, digital transformation, data analytics, business turnaround, private equity, stakeholder management, and market development makes him a well-rounded leader who has an impressive track record of business results and talent development.
Nyimpini is a recognised industry leader who sits on several Boards as a non-executive director, and chairman of the Board. He is also a former senior advisor for Boston Consulting Group where he assisted the partners to build the business in technology, media and telecom (TMT), and consumer good practices across Sub-Saharan Africa. Nyimpini is a regular speaker, judge, and thought leader at various events, with some highlights, including Stanford University’s Africa Business Forum Start-up judge and panelist, MC at Nelson Mandela Memorial, and moderator at the ILLA Africa lawmakers conference.
