how they view the future of financial services and fintech. The competitive banking
landscape has a number of new players in the entry-level segment of banking, we
ask how the traditional banks are viewing these competitors and responding to
the changing demands of customers and customer experience. We also ask CEO, Sim
Tshabalala, about the private sector's role in creating growth and inclusion as
well as managing the countries fiscal pressures and the concerns within
business.

Skills and experience:
Sim Tshabalala, a banker with over 22 years’ experience in the financial services industry, joined the group in 2000 in the project finance division of SCMB and was appointed to group ExCo in 2001. Between 2001 and 2006, he was managing director of Stanbic Africa, and was appointed chief executive of PBB in 2006. In June 2008, he was appointed chief executive of SBSA. In March 2013, he was appointed joint group chief executive of SBG, a position he held alongside Ben Kruger until September 2017. He resigned as Chief executive of SBSA in January 2018.
