Diversity and Inclusion in South Africa- Guidelines for leading inclusively

There is an increasing call for business to play a bigger role in creating a more inclusive, fair economy.  For that to happen, leaders first need to address the prejudices and inequalities that persist in their own organisations.

In the words of Justice Edward Cameron: "Diversity and inclusion are more pressing than ever. Racism, sexism, homophobia and other forms of fear and hatred are not isolated; they remain embedded and they demand courageous, deliberate work."

Nene Molefi, the author of the new book: A Journey of Diversity & Inclusion in South Africa, and a carefully selected panel of executives will address:

  • The role of business leaders in creating a more inclusive culture.
  • The tangible benefits of a more diverse and inclusive organisation.
  • How to identify and overcome discrimination at all levels in the organisation.
  • The importance of establishing executive groups that are more representative of society in terms of race and gender.

  • Nene Molefi, the author of the new book: A Journey of Diversity & Inclusion in South Africa;
  • Justice Edwin Cameron;
  • Dr Jonathan Broomberg, CEO, Discovery Health;
  • Bongani Nqwababa, Joint President & Chief Executive Officer, Sasol Limited; and
  • Dr Liziwe Masoga, Human Resource Executive, Old Mutual Insure
