​As Coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads its tentacles across the globe, African economies are being drawn into the crisis. The biggest impact so far has come from the disruption of supply chains and inventory from China.

Oil producers have been hit as prices move sharply downwards and the reduction of international flights and cancellation of events also starting to take their toll on governance, business and leisure, with potentially severe implications for continental growth.
