We catch up with Mark Barnes to find out how his strategy has repositioned the image of the South African Post Office.
Mark Barnes last spoke at GIBS in June 2016. At the time he said that the South African Post Office (SAPO) had to reinvent itself and regain the trust of its key customers, or it would cease to exist. His first task was to raise the money to pay for the past mishaps of the parastatal.
His aim was to transform the entity into a valuable asset within five years and to create a modern and relevant organisation that would win back the trust of the public.
