GIBS Executive education has launched a range of executive education short courses that will be taking place in Durban throughout 2019. The courses, which include topics like financial management, strategy, innovation, design thinking, negotiations and leadership, in particular women leadership, aim to bring contextually relevant, high-impact education to business executives operating in the Kwa-Zulu Natal region.

GIBS has been recognised as the highest ranking business school in Africa for executive education in the UK Financial Times Executive Education Ranking. A significant factor that has contributed the achievement of this ranking over the years is the business school's ability to provide topical curriculum that keeps abreast of business needs and the constantly changing environment, to executives in such dynamic markets.

GIBS understands that the world of work and knowledge is changing at a rate never before seen in human history. As a result, the combination of values, skills and technological know-how is crucial to the survival of the future executive, especially if they want to remain relevant and impactful. GIBS is fully prepared to cope with this new dynamic for the African executive, by not only supplying traditional skills incorporating technology, but by integrating these skills with soft skills – the skills of being human in this changing world.

The successful African executive of tomorrow will be differentiated by this delicate balance of being technologically savvy and having a high level of personal mastery. These skills will translate successfully into any market around the world, but they will be infused with learnings from the continent. The continent that is home to the principles of Ubuntu and all that it means for you as a leader in your organisation. The courses offered by GIBS aim to do just that by bringing quality executive education that will have a positive economic and social impact on the continent and the local economy.
