Riëtte is currently managing her own consultancy, Change Pace, with a focus on personal and professional development through coaching, facilitation, and the design and project management of learning and development interventions. She is a Professional Associate at GIBS and works closely with GIBS Programme Managers and organisations to develop their leaders.  She lectures on the topics of Personal Mastery, Organisational Behaviour and High Performing Teams amongst others.

Prior to this, she was employed full time at GIBS as a Senior Programme Manager in the Custom Programmes department where she worked with organisations to design, develop and deliver leadership development programmes at various levels within the client organisation, whilst managing a team of Programme Managers and Co-ordinators.  Riëtte also managed a team of learning and development specialists, as Learning and Development Manager in the financial services industry, in Cape Town previously.

She has been involved in corporate learning and development since 1997 both here in South Africa and in the United Kingdom. Her work experience includes design and development of programmes and course material, group facilitation, executive coaching, individual counselling, and administration of psychometric assessments (registered with the HPCSA).  Riëtte is licenced to administer and debrief a number of specialised personality preference assessments, including Insights Discovery and Lumina Spark, and is an accredited EQ-i 2.0 (emotional intelligence psychometric assessment) Practitioner.  Riëtte is also an accredited Skills Development Facilitator and Assessor, and has worked in a wide variety of industries, including ITC, legal, financial services, retail, mining, and state-owned enterprises.

She is a regular contributor to a number of popular magazines on the topics of Career Growth and Development, Women in Leadership and Personal Growth (incl. O, The Oprah Magazine, Cosmopolitan, and Sarie).

Riëtte has a passion for learning and personal development, as well as supporting and empowering others through the challenges of work and life.  She believes that life is a journey that offers us many choices and opportunities to learn and grow.
