The team 

GIBS’ CSP team, the largest in Africa, consists of 33 learning professionals, including a Director, Senior Programme Managers, Programme Managers and Programme Coordinators. Each client has a dedicated Senior Programme Manager and a team consisting of a Programme Manager and Coordinator.

The Director and Senior Programme Managers have extensive experience and breadth of industry experience. The following is a brief resume of their profiles:

Shaun RozynDirector: Shaun Rozyn
Shaun has over ten years of experience in higher education, human capital consulting and learning programme design. His role is to manage the quality of programmes designed by GIBS and to engage with partner organisations as well as GIBS CSP’s global network of faculty, partner schools and technology partners to ensure that GIBS CSP stays at the cutting edge of executive education. With a M.Comm in Economics (US), and a MBA (GIBS) and currently studying a Doctorate in Business Administration (GIBS), Shaun has previously held positions of Senior Lecturer, Dean of Commerce and Consulting Manager within various organisations.

Professor Karl HofmeyerSpecialist Director: Professor Karl Hofmeyr
Prof Hofmeyr was the founding director of GIBS CSP. He stepped down as of 1 January 2010, after leading the unit to be the best on the continent. Karl is a full-time Professor at the Gordon Institute of Business Science as well as a visiting Professor at the HEC business school in Paris since1997. Previously, he was a Professor at the University of South Africa’s Graduate School of Business Leadership until 1999. Karl’s academic areas of interest include organisational behaviour, leadership and transformation.

Mike StonierSenior Programme Manager: Mike Stonier
Mike started with GIBS shortly after it opened its doors in March 2000.Since then he has worked with senior leaders in a variety of mainly blue chip companies in a range of industries. Clients include Anglo American, BP, Concor, De Beers, Deloitte, Ernst and Young , Johnson Diversey, KPMG, Life Healthcare, UCS and WACO. These organisations and other, mainly action learning assignments, have enabled him to run learning experiences in all five continents . Prior to joining GIBS Mike worked in retail for most of his career and served on numerous working and steering committees and advisory boards for a range of learning, development and educational institutions

Senior Programme Manager: Dr. Charlene Lew 
As Senior Programme Manager at GIBS, Dr Charlene Lew oversees the design, development, marketing and delivery of various local and international company-specific programmes. Her academic career includes the development of action learning processes, extensive supervision of MBA dissertations and supervision of doctoral theses in a wide range of management disciplines. Her key interests are in Organisational Behaviour and the intra- and inter-psychological processes that drive behaviours at work.

Prior to joining GIBS Charlene was the Dean of the Damelin International College of Postgraduate Business Sciences. She has published several articles both in accredited academic as well as popular management publications on subjects such as change management, adult career concerns, career resilience, entrepreneurial latency and liquidity, value based management and strategic business leadership in Africa.

Senior Programme Manager: Gillian Cross 
Gillian holds a BA (Social Sciences, Wits) and is currently completing her MBA through Milpark Business School. She spent the first half of her career, in the ERP systems industry, consulting and implementing end user education solutions for SAP clients across a variety of industry sectors. Gillian held various business development portfolios for an array of e-learning products and services, whilst at Johnnic Communications (now the Avusa Group), before moving into the Higher Education sector as the Sales & Marketing Manager for Milpark Business School. She was part of the senior management team at Netcare (Netcare’s Education Division) responsible for evolving the training function of the business into a corporate university, which involved the development of a suite of customised management & leadership development programmes for the Healthcare Industry.

She now works at GIBS as a Senior Programme Manager in the design of company specific programmes.

Tanya van LillSenior Programme Manager: Tanya Van Lill
Tanya started her career in the Learning and Development arena as a lecturer within the IT industry, followed by positions specialising in programme and curriculum design before moving on to GIBS to specialise in management and leadership development. Together with her team, She has managed the successful delivery of over 20 management and leadership development programmes in the banking, retail, manufacturing, construction and telecommunications industries. Tanya holds a certificate in Education, Training and Design (UJ), a BCom with specialisation in Information Systems (from UNISA), a PDBA from GIBS and is currently studying towards her MBA at GIBS.
