PMD Faculty 

 
The faculty on the PMD comprise of both full-time GIBS faculty members, as well as adjunct faculty members who are experts in their chosen field.  This experienced group of faculty members are specififcally chosen to present a mixture of theory, case studies and practical content in their subject areas.

Some of the faculty teaching on the PMD include:




Dr. Emmanuel Kodzi Jr. is a senior lecturer at GIBS in Operations and Supply Chain Management. He is a project leader with over 10 years in technical and managerial roles in the made-to-order furnishing business. His direct engagement with business competitiveness as an entrepreneur prompted his doctoral studies at Purdue University. He also earned the AACSB-accredited post-doctorate in International Business from the University of Florida. He has taught in 4 countries and has a passion to inspire deep learning and guide evidence-based decision-making in his students and clients. 

Gavin Price is a full time senior lecturer at GIBS. Gavin is an admitted attorney and besides practicing for a number of years, he also worked as a corporate legal advisor in the property development industry before joining the banking and finance industry. In addition to his expertise in the banking and finance industry, he has considerable experience and knowledge through his work in the retail and motor industries.Gavin holds a BA degree in psychology and sociology with a sub-major in statistics, a BProc, LLB as well as an LLM (Banking law) from UNISA. He has an MBL degree from UNISA’s School of Business Leadership.He is currently completing his DBA through GIBS.


Michael Goldman is a Senior Lecturer at GIBS. He lectures, researches and consults in the area of Marketing, including topics such as Marketing Strategy & Management, Customer Centricity and Strategy, Sports Marketing and Sponsorship, and Base of the Pyramid business strategies. He is currently completing his DBA through GIBS.


Dr Thabo Mosala holds a PhD in Banking and Finance from Rushmore University. He is the founder of WrenJos Consulting offering management consulting and advisory services specialising in strategy formulation for business development and growth, business simulation, financial services, business process improvement, information technology and research. He lectures in the areas of finance, strategy management, banking, information systems and leadership.


Prof Margie Sutherland holds a DCom on the retention of knowledge workers. She has worked in the human resource field in a wide range of industries, including mining, manufacturing, hotels, agriculture and retail as well as in the Holding Company of S.A. Breweries.She has lectured in the Psychology Department at Wits University, the Institute of Personnel Management, for the Institute of Marketing Management, at Wits Business School for fourteen years and at GIBS for six years. She consults to a number of companies and works with a number of NGOs. She has won 5 teaching excellence awards.

Dr Alex Antonites
is a senior lecturer in the Department of Business Management, Chair for Entrepreneurship, at the University of Pretoria. He specialises in the field of entrepreneurship and small business development with a specific focus on the pre-entrepreneurial phase concerning creativity, innovation and opportunity finding. His model on entrepreneurial creativity, innovation and opportunity finding (CIO) won an international award within the entrepreneurship education environment.
