Advancing Responsible Management Education in African Business Schools

Association of African Business Schools (AABS) Workshop in Advancing Responsible Management Education In African Business Schools  Overview
AABS, in partnership with the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) and Centre for Responsible Leadership, and with funding from the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), will be hosting a business school’s workshop at GIBS.

The half-day workshop will focus on how business schools are responding and should respond to the challenge posed by the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) and the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative (GRLI). The programme will include case study presentations by business schools engaged in responsible management education, as well as provide an opportunity for knowledge sharing between African business schools.

Call for case study presentations
We are including two business school case study presentations on the programme to stimulate debate and thinking on how to incorporate responsible management into the curriculum. If your business school is actively incorporating sustainability, ethics, responsible leadership and other related topics into its curriculum and operations, we invite you to present your case study at the workshop. Please contact us (contact details below) if you would like to present your case study.

Participants
African business school executives and faculty involved in responsible management education.

Travel and accommodation
Please contact Claire Addison if you require assistance in contacting a travel agent in South Africa for your travel and accommodation requirements. Travel and accommodation costs are for delegate’s own expense.
