VISA
A prospective student who needs to come for evaluation can visit South Africa (SA) on a normal visitor’s visa. Some nationals from certain countries, including the UK, need no visa to just visit while others need visas. This information is available from the nearest SA Mission (Consular office) The list of visa-exempt countries can be found on the Department of Foreign Affairs website: www.dfa.gov.za
Study Permit
A student who has received an admission letter to study in SA must take this letter, which contains certain information, to the SA consular office closest to them to apply for the study permit. They will be told what to submit in order to apply and this application will be processed and issued before the student embarks for SA.
