Fees & regulations

The full registration and tuition fees for the 2013 - 2017 DBA degree programme at GIBS will be R110 040. These fees cover all tuition, materials, catering and use of facilities at GIBS over the duration of the programme.

The fee structure is as follows:

R800 will be payable upon submission of your application.*

R2 000 will be payable upon acceptance onto the DBA.*

R50 000 will be payable in January 2013 upon admission to Part 1.

R19 080 will be payable upon registration for Part 2 in January 2014.

R19 080 upon re-registration in January 2015.

R19 080 upon re-registration in January 2016 for the final year.

* The non-refundable application fee payable upon submission of an application is R800. The non-refundable deposit to secure a place and start receiving tuition materials upon acceptance onto the DBA is R2 000. This amount will be offset against the cost of tuition in the first year.

In the event of an extension being granted for a further year of study beyond 2017, an additional fee of R19 080 will be payable. In the case of international students, a surcharge of R2 000 may be levied in addition to the above fee.

All costs associated with fieldwork, travel, special software or equipment required for purposes of research, as well as printing and binding of the thesis will be for the student’s own account.

Regulations

The Director of GIBS, in consultation with UP executives, has the right of authorisation regarding matters not provided for in the general regulations of the University's or GIBS' regulations.
